BEST DAY EVER!

Out of the cold, dark, dreary winter comes the warm, light, and wonderful spring! Today was officially a spring day here in Malad. It was 60 degrees! 60! My heart is still bursting with joy from the amazing day I had with nature. It started out with a two mile bike ride to the St. John Cemetery and back. I didn't think riding a bike took too much effort but man I was feeling the burn when I came home! The cemetery was as peaceful as ever. I'm not sure why I like going there so much. I just sit there and contemplate my life. I like to think of how I can live my life more fully. Today I thought about being more active in my life. Work has gotten into some bad eating habits that need to be broken starting today. I'm tired of feeling so gross after snacking.
Josh and I then brought out the old Boche Ball game. My sister finally came out and we volleyed the ball for a while. I miss Volleyball so much. It would be really fun to be on a team again. However, I will have zero time to do any participating in school activities like that. Hopefully I can get a bunch of my friends to start doing it instead of playing Ultimate Frisbee ALL the time!
Then it was back to childhood days and played by our stream at the end of our field. I felt like I was ten again. We threw rocks in the water, waded, played some silly games made up on the spot, and just enjoyed the youthfulness of it all.
After lunch it was time to do some yard work. Our trees like to shed a lot of branches, making our yard look like trailer trash so we raked it all up today and it looks so much better!
The day ended perfectly with a hot dog and marshmallow roast. I still smell like smoke and I really don't care! A little extra surprise when my former roommate Chelsee said her and her boyfriend were coming for a visit. It totally was the icing on top of the cake to catch up with them. They are such a cute couple! A ring to come soon? I think so.
As the day comes to an end, I reflect and think of what a beautiful world I live in. It is gorgeous! I'm so grateful of where I live. Other people may see it as a dump town, but to me it's the best place to grow up! So thank you weather for cooperating, thanks for the day off of work so I could enjoy today, and thank you Heavenly Father and Christ for making such a beautiful world for me to live in!
Just doing the yard work!
