This is all about the wonderful, unfortunate events that happened yesterday :)
Waking up came too early, 5:30 a.m., so I could get ready to pick raspberries at the Corbridges'. Got out there about 6am and started picking. The Mrs. came out and told me that she wants a flat an hour, and I was already so far behind. I couldn't catch up either because I had to leave at 8:30am to get ready to go to Pocatello with the family, minus Dad. I ended up picking my flat in two hours and my boss didn't break even on what I picked. I felt so bad. I didn't even want to take the money. I asked how she picked them and well it's intense. However, it will benefit the pace and keep her a float. Hard lesson learned, unfortunate event number one.
Number two and three, Hilary's bed frustration. We get to Pocatello and meet Edward (love that man) at ShopKo. We get there and buy Hilary a bed for college. A little side note, she had to buy one because her apartment doesn't provide beds, but they do provide dished and pots and pans. What's with that?! Any who, we get to what she thought was her apartment but had to circle the block to find the right street, turns out it WAS the right apartment (number two). Our Uncle David and cousins Taylor and Jake came as well. We get the unassembled bed upstairs and decided since we have two men with us, we should hurry and put the bed together. Ended up taking a couple of hours, and it still isn't done! Hil and I were in charge of putting the headboard together. Ha that was funny (number three).
Past lunch and super hungry, we go eat at Taco Bell since it's Taylor's favorite place and she had to be back to her softball tournament. Hilary ended up paying for us since she felt bad about the bed taking so long. We sit there and talk after we are all full, when I suggest to Edward, "We don't have to follow my family around. Let's go play some arcade games or something." This way we could spend some time alone right? Wrong. We were about to get up and go when mom said, "Please, take Josh with you!" Grr. Alright mom (number four). So we three spend an hour or so at Outer Limits Fun Zone where we played a bunch of arcade games. I LOVE arcade games! I enjoy it lots! We combined out tickets and Josh bought himself a ring pop and an eraser. Then we went to GameStop for my nerds (don't worry I'm one too) I was actually the one who bought something. Epic Mickey. Such a fun game! Can't stop playing it!
It was then time to meet up with Hilary and Mom at WalMart. So we did that and went to Win Co. We get all that done and we are trying to get into the truck when the key breaks in the lock. Oh wow. No way this happened! It's hot and we are all tired. Yet, there it was, half the key in the lock. So we call a locksmith, and camp outside of our truck. Trying to pass by the time, Josh, Edward, and I quoted YouTube videos, laughing while being miserable in the heat. The locksmith back, got us a new key, and we finally could leave. That means Edward had to leave. After a very hard, short goodbye, we went back to Hil's apartment to pay her rent so she could keep the bed in there. We finally made it home around 8pm when originally we were planning on being home around two or three.
After all the mishaps from the day, it was still so enjoyable. Why you may ask? It's because I got to see Edward ALL day. Sure we weren't alone very much, but it was so wonderful to be with him. We made each other laugh, and he was very sweet all day :) I already miss him lots.
So there you have it, a enjoyable day with unfortunate events!
